Eratork Islespere Once upon a time in a middle school not so far away, Mrs. Boyer's 7th grade advanced English class had to respond to a 3rd grade class's letters to Santa. Since everyone's handwriting was going to be different, Mrs. Boyer had us write as Santa's elves, and we had to create our own names for our elves. Matt, an esteemed classmate of mine named his Eratork Islespere, a name he made up himself. I liked it, but Mrs. Boyer did not; she said the name was too complicated for a third grader to pronounce. Matt, also a fellow AD&D player, remarked that Eratork had been banished like Drow to Underdark. This sparked an over imaginative David (your present day Ross) into writing stories about a good dark elf who was banished from the Drow underworld. The stories spanned across 3 novellas (about 100 pages each typed), parts of which were published in the school magazine, and even in a National Education Association (NEA) journal. When it came time to pick a nick for the internet and the MUDs (Multi User Dungeons) I was on, Eratork was a logical choice -- it reflected a part of my life and was truly unique. Thus the name. Ironically .. neither Eratork nor Ross (myself) have ever lived happily ever after, but thanks to meeting this AMAZING person the world calls Gregg, I am closer to that fairy tale than I ever thought possible! I was born in January of 1974, making me an Aquarius ... sometimes called an "Aqueerius" ;-). My family is a diverse combination of Scotts-Irish and German on one side, to a very direct Polish and Russian lineage on the other. I am 6' tall, weigh about 165 lbs, have blond hair (ranging from bleach to dirty depending on the season), blue eyes (Though mainly Polish and Russian, the Scotts-Irish and German sure seem to shine through, don't they?), and I have seven piercings and one tattoo. I am a native of the Greater Baltimore-Washington area, and even went to college here at George Mason University where I became a brother in the Chi Phi Fraternity. I started college out as an international studies major but my career after school wound up revolving around my favorite hobby, computers. I currently work for an online learning company out is Reston, VA. I am very happy here, but I still have my resume online for all to see ... just in case. ;-) I am not what would would call a typical all around American (or Russian .. or Pol ... or ... what am I?), and I am very committed to my political, religious, and social views. I am an active member of my fraternity's alumni group, the National Capital Chi Phi Club, and I have ridden in three Washington DC AIDS Rides. I enjoy the beach, sailing, swimming, hiking, reading (Literature, plays, fantasy, sci-fi, political and current events), Dancing, Clubbing, Raving, A LOT of music, some TV (mostly news), and, of course, Computers!!! Last of all, I am pierced. I have 7 piercings in all: 1 in each ear, 1 in each nipple, 1 in the navel, 1 in my tongue, and yes, a Prince Albert. I also have one tattoo on my shoulder, and one on my back. I've had them all of for over 3 years now, and some of them for over 8. To answer a few questions: No they didn't hurt that much, except maybe the nipples but in every case all discomfort lasted a split second. If you want to know why I had all of them done, then you have never been with anyone who was pierced, have you? ;-) Visit me on Friendster at
